underneath
limestone and ashes
bound in time
archived dreams
above
ten spirits
made of stone
encircling
protecting
but not from the sweet hurricane
that unsuspectingly
left soft fissures
revealing mass creations
of our relenting memories

above and below... archived dreams, relenting memories... beautiful images lissa...
yes, i loved the 'archived dreams' usage...very nice.
you are really branching out in your use of poetry lissa,, and i for one love the direction it is taking you!!!!
"limestone and ashes bound in time"-- wonderful phrase.
Imagery abounds here, Lissa. I love it. You take us many depths in such a short space. Have a nice night.
I loved the image of "mass creations". The word "mass" has so may implications for me. It could be like a religious mass, en masse or even a mass grave!
Great poem!
