This entry is for Friday 5 at Poefusion. The five words are: mustard, piano, elastic, moat, notorious.
his hands swims across the moat
towards the piano keyboard
emitting notorious sounds that bounces across the room
while faded mustard lips chants elastic words of love
glows of color lights spins all around
sipping vodka as she watches from a distance
her eyes following his hands and lips in all their movements
left, right, up and down, here and there
she dare not blink
the song ends
the crowd cheers silently
she saw him standing up and taking a bow
a big smile across his face
she throws some bills on the table
walking slowly away into the silent night

Mustard lips is so cool. I love your poem but, felt a story developing here so strongly. Incredible job. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for telling me about that other Friday 5. I went over and looked at it last night and found it pretty interesting even though I don't write journal entries. Have a nice weekend, Lissa.
What no reason, I always end up writing unfinished stories. Maybe I'll develop them later on.
Thanks for visiting, Michelle
this was very noir lissa... i , like michelle see story possibilities here... good to see you spreading your poetic wings...
A story with much left unsaid...lots to wonder about - nicely done!
A fun take on that word combo!
Mad Kane
mustard lips...what a usage, and loved the story...really nice and mysterious in a 'wanting to know more' kind of way..thank you

I like unfinished stories. They live so much scope for imagination.
A very creative, sinuous poem. I enjoyed the scene, how the narrator listened, took in the music, and left. Great character development in just a few lines.
the story was told so beautifully..
