Thanks so much for joining in on my first prompt.
You posted at my blog asking for limerick advice, so I thought I'd post it here.
Your rhymes were fine and I liked your punchline, but your meter could use some tweaking to get the triple xXxxX etc. feel of a limerick:
So here's a quick and dirty revision of your limerick that demonstrates the meter:
I'm begging, be nice to mom's pet.
As you know, she is picky 'bout Met.
Hubby nods at the screen.
Cat's run over unseen.
And the wife soon runs off with the vet.
I link to some good resources about writing limericks and haiku here: Limerick and Haiku Info
I hope this helps.
I couldn't even try to write a limerick, and admire your first try
I'll try any writing style once and if I don't like, I won't write in that style.
It's always a nice change of pace to do something new.
I love the thought behind the limerick. A great go at it. Mad Kane had some good advice. I know I'm going to check out here link. Ku, I do. Limericks? My first try was today.
i tried a limerick for the first time since junior high... it really was fun tho wasn't it?????
This I really enjoyed, both your haiku and limerick....I gave it a go myself, found it tough but fun..thanks for sharing.

Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know.
